Peskov says no plans to postpone St Pete economic forum
MOSCOW, May 18 (PRIME) -- Russia is not considering postponing the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) due to a rise in new coronavirus cases in the city, President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Tuesday.
The forum will be held as an in-person event from June 2 through June 5.
Peskov said, “No, the preparation is under way. Even more so, the preparation of the forum is being carried out in close cooperation with the Federal Service for Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare Oversight. Naturally, all necessary precautions and restrictions will be observed. That is why no changes have happened so far.”
